🛒 Ingredients (makes ~12 bars)
- 1 Tbsp ground flaxseed + 2 Tbsp water (flax “egg”)
- ¾ cup melted vegan butter
- 1 cup brown sugar + ¼ cup granulated sugar
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 2¼ cups all‑purpose flour
- 1 Tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tsp baking soda
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 cup non‑dairy chocolate chips (plus extra for the top)
👩🍳 Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 °F and line a 9×13‑inch pan.
- Mix flaxseed + water; set aside to thicken.
- Stir melted butter with both sugars, then add flax egg and vanilla.
- Gently fold in flour, cornstarch, soda, salt until combined.
- Mix in chocolate chips, reserving a few.
- Press dough evenly into pan, top with reserved chips.
- Bake ~30 minutes until golden on edges. Cool before slicing.
